Too often we hear of pubs and other community assets being lost. It was wonderful to be with the community of locals who helped keep the Hunstman & Hound open in Walworth. I was still a councillor and on the Planning Committee when pub regulars, the landlord and the Walworth Society's Diana Cochrane spoke about its importance. It was a pleasure to have helped save it - and a great treat to cut the ribbon on the reopening and enjoy a pint with locals.
