Neil Coyle is the candidate for Bermondsey and Old Southwark. The constituency covers the Elephant and Castle, Walworth, Borough and Bankside, Rotherhithe and Bermondsey. Neil has been a councillor for five years and was director of policy at Disability Alliance. Neil is committed to disability equality and worked for Deaf and disabled people’s organisations for more than a decade. Neil led campaigns against cuts to DLA and co-chaired the Disability Benefits Consortium.
Neil is fighting a very close race and wants to beat the current Lib Dem to ensure Cameron and Clegg are out of Downing Street. Neil has put housing, jobs and the NHS at the heart of the local campaign. Southwark needs more homes and especially affordable and council homes. Labour will also tackle zero-hour contract abuse and low pay, as well as investing to ensure the NHS has the doctors and nurses it needs.
