Dear Neil

I think you should reconsider, have a look around? … there is not need to act like the establishment … there is a mountain of evidence from all around the Western countries that times are going to be different now. I am not a Marxist or even a Socialist but – Check out Richard Wolff … he has a few clues that make sense ….

Well done Neil, a tough decision I’m sure but one that I hope history will prove contributed to a more sensible, electable Labour Party.

Deselect.

With a 73% remain vote, it appears that you had the support you needed from the party leadership. At a national level, polls have indicated 64% of voters that identified with Labour as voting remain. Again, this indicates that the Labour party succesfully moved its voters to vote with the party.

The Conservative party on the other hand officially supported remain and had a ca. 60% leave vote from its voters. A Labour voice was not going to convince those voters what to do. The outcome is a failure by a split Conservative party, as it was going to be either way.

Your behaviour and the behaviour of other members of the PLP is producing a similar split in the Labour party when a show of unity could have given confidence to the members.

I second Pierluigi’s request below and urge you to stop this insanity now. This exit can and should be stopped for the good of everybody.

Thank you for understanding the gravity of this situation Mr Coyle. Now I would urge you to investigate and pursue all possible means within parliament to stop the madness of this exit from the EU. Millions of people were tricked by the promises of a Leave campaign which have already been broken. Please join with fellow London MP David Lammy to stop this catastrophic and self-harming narrowly won referendum. It does not have to be this way. We don’t have to lose all we have spent years to build. London needs help now if it is to retain its status as financial capital of Europe and as a member of your constituency I would urge to consider taking a strong position. It is not too late to stand up and defend our hard-won standards of living.

While I voted for you at the GE Mr Coyle I’m afraid that this move against your party leader during this time is terribly damaging. Very disappointed with the PLP, an embarrassment to the party and nation.

Well done. You have squandered the best and only chance of overturning this sociocultural disaster. I am never voting Labour again as long as it is infested with this kind of selfish, confrontational careerism.

I’m very sorry for you, but, as one of your constituents, thank you.
